Students are complaining about being shown troubling images or discussing upsetting topics as part of the course curriculum in universities and colleges around the country. In some instances the schools are complying with these requests by warning classes that they may be exposed to images of Native American artifacts, spiders, classic art, or even be told that someone famous was gay.

Coddling students (and their vocal parents) is resulting in some instructors self-censoring subject matter, which results in shielding young minds from learning the realities of the world.
