I have just put ABRUPT DECISION, starring Steve Callahan and David LaDuca, in an envelope to ship in the morning to the Berlin Film Market.
This is the final version of the film, except for a little bit of technical stuff that will be done next month. This week I re-edited portions, changed underscoring music, adjusted sound levels, added sound effects.
The few people who saw the rough cut told me it was my best film to date. After watching the final version tonight, and crying during the emotional parts, I feel the film is definitely my strongest.
It’s late here, and I need some sleep. In the morning I fly to Austin to film four PSA’s and also the full series of webseminars on filmmaking that will soon be available on the Bright Filmmaking website. Jon Gale is flying in from LA to film the PSA’s for me, and Matt Burnett is breaking away from his stage show to do a PSA as well.
My apologies for being out of touch this month. It’s been a rollercoaster in New York. Things are settling down a bit here, just as I leave for the adventure in Texas. The next six days may be a blur as I try to get everything done. I’ll be sure to let you know how it turns out.
I am so excite to see the film! Good luck in Austin and Berlin, I’ll be thinking of you.
aaawwwesome! good luck with the film.. we are all cheering for you.
